1 – PLAN PLAN PLAN
Always keep a calendar of days you are going to exercise and more importantly days you are having ‘off’ this will keep you focused and ensure you keep on track – once you have carried out any exercise log it! Visuals always help you see how far you have come on days where you want to give up.
2 – LOOK & LEARN
The internet is full of fab ways to keep fit, there are million of blogs instructional guides and ‘how to’ style blogs which will help educate and inform you of what is best for you! Always ensure you are taking advise of professionals and consult your own health professional if in doubt.
3 – DON’T BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF
If you really are having a rough time sticking to plan and know you are going to fall off, then go off plan but before you do, chose wisely – want cake? have half a slice, want a biscuit? have 1 not half a pack… Write down what naughties you ate and keep it somewhere to remind you. because our minds are great at forgetting the naughties and before you know it you will be out of control and find it hard to pull it back.
4 – UP YOUR GAME
Don’t fall into easy game and just do the minimum required, Up your ante and try to step out your comfort zone – take a swim class… buy a bicycle and go explore… take the long route walking home…Push yourself to a new level.
5 – LOVE YOU
If you are anything like us you will spend 90% of your time taking care of other people… make a change, put yourself first even if its once a week or once a month. Schedule a pamper session, have a facial or even just take a long hot soak in the bath with Michael Bublé (we mean his album of course…).
